Entry Level Machinists


  • An aptitude for math (fractions and decimals)

  • Ability to work nights (all entry level machinists start on 2nd shift (3:30pm-1:30am Mon-Thurs) which pays a higher wage differential than 1st shift (7:30 am-3:30pm)

Experienced Machinists

All those listed in Entry Level, plus:

Ability of some or all these basic skills

  • Proficiency in all applicable machining methods and materials.
  • Blueprint reading/shop math.
  • Proficiency in precision measuring methods.
  • Operate multiple required machines simultaneously.

Familiarity with some or all of these machines:

  • Lathes, mills, drills, machining centers, grinders, and machining equipment, (conventional and CNC).
  • Precision measuring equipment.

Receiving Clerk

Receive, check, identify, and distribute raw materials, tooling and shop supplies from suppliers. Maintains integrity and accuracy of raw material inventory.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

1] Receives all tooling and shop supplies; verifies shipment against purchase order and delivers all items to original requestor.

2] Unloads and receives all raw materials; verifies items against purchase order; confirms correct quantity size, length, material type and forwards all certification documentation to purchasing for approval. Identifies each item with job numbers and heat number if required. Isolates, red tags and notifies purchasing immediately of any items that do not conform to purchase order specifications.

3] Delivers all approved and identified raw material to proper storage shelves, racks or workcell. Prepares all isolated non-confirming items for immediate return to vendor.

4] Performs physical inventories and cycle counts to control inventory accuracy and integrity. Maintains cleanliness and security of raw material storage areas.
